Haitian Culture: Music To My Ears

Music is a large part of Haitian culture and I hear catchy tunes throughout the day. Songs are blasting while children are being admitted, as they are recovering/dying and when they are discharged.

Kompa is a type of music originating in Haiti and is very popular. It is upbeat and is dominated by electric guitars and brass instruments.
