Chowing down

The food in Haiti has been good. Around 7:30 AM each morning, we have light, fluffy scrambled eggs, hard-boiled eggs or pasta with a meat sauce combined with avocado or bananas and a fresh fruit juice.

Around 2-3 PM each day, “dinner” is served and consists of fish, goat or chicken with flavored rice and a vegetable side dish.

I am not yet accustomed to the day ending at 3 PM, so Lisa and I usually have a granola bar at noon and try to make it until 4-5 PM before we head back home. And we are always home by the 6 PM curfew.
