Medieval medicine

Yesterday we moved into our quaint apartment in the heart of the Old Town. We spent the morning wandering our way through the small streets and visited a few historical sites.

My favorite was the Franciscan Monastery. The architecture was fascinating, the 14th-16th century paintings were interesting, but the best part was the old pharmacy. The drug dispensary was established in 1317 and is still functioning! The oldest of its kind. It was neat to see measuring cups, pill counters and vials from 700 years ago.
