Short timer

I have been traveling around the world for nearly two years and the longest I have stayed in one place has been five months. With such short stints in each place, it is difficult to develop lasting friendships and find a social niche.

It is nearly time for me to leave Saipan and I am just beginning to develop a nice network of friends. I have a group consisting of an anesthesiologist, respiratory therapist and movie producer that play doubles tennis twice a week. We also have a core group of interesting people that we meet for happy hour or dinner.

Throughout my travels, I have become accustomed to saying goodbye to people, but I hope someday to stay in a place a little longer and set some roots.
