Sheltered

I frequently hear news of violence near Goma. A few days ago, rebels attacked a UN base and murdered three soldiers with machetes. Today, international organizations announced that 150 women and girls were raped in a small village just south of here. Soldiers entered their community and systematically sexually assaulted all females in front of their families.

Despite the proximity of this horrific violence, I feel very sheltered. My personal safety is rarely in danger.

I really do hope you are sheltered. I was horrified watching the news yesterday to hear that 200 had been raped. Please be careful. In my prayers always you and your fiancee.

Sad to hear! Happy you are safe!
