Home sweet home

After nearly five months on the road, I returned home to the San Francisco Bay Area. It has been great to spend time with family and catch-up with a few friends. 

After settling in, I babysat my nephew, Silas, for most of one day. Such a seemingly mundane task was surprisingly refreshing. We played with brightly colored cups, visited great-grandma, went to the local Mexican restaurant, sat on the swing in the backyard and took naps.

I have been home just one week yet feel that my life abroad is far removed.
